Who I Am
Hi! My name is Cristina Rodriguez Rivas but, all my friends and colleagues call me Cristy.
I serve on the advisory board for Unity Theatre Collective, work in higher education, and Stage Manage for Arts Under The Stars at CSU Channel Islands.
I am an alum of California State University Channel Islands. I graduated in May 2019 with a B.A. in Communication and a B.A. in Performing Arts.
My work ethic revolves around:
Respect for one's team, especially in understanding where one's work fits into their organization
A welcoming, friendly, courteous experience for clients that is consistently excellent
Accessibility and accountability of organizations
Diversity, Equity, Inclusion at all levels of work
Fair and equitable pay discussions, especially with Union representation
Creativity in solutions, problem-solving, and innovation
Bringing the central ideas and mission statements into the daily grind

What I Do
Stage Management
Technical Theatre
From pre-production of a live production to running cues. I love being a part of a team and working on making a live production flow smoothly and safely. I've always relished a job where it is not only encouraged but, expected to wear black from head to toe.
